Session presentation

Developing a Learning Health System requires the secondary use of health data for research. Researchers can use a federated analytical approach to access and analyze vast amounts of health data while maintaining patient privacy and data security. This method allows for collaborative studies across multiple institutions without centralizing sensitive information, thus enhancing the robustness and diversity of research findings. Embracing this innovative approach can lead to groundbreaking discoveries, improved patient outcomes, and a deeper understanding of complex health issues.

In this session, we will review some case studies enabled by the federated research approach leveraging health data. Finally, we will delve into the interoperability challenges and the workflow required to solve those challenges to advance research reusing health data.
